The participants for the following competitions are required to share a small video bite on sahityasarita2020@gmail.com by 31/01/2020 or else the entry will not be considered.

  4. Tahuko: Participant has to send one video bite

EXTEMPORIAL DEBATE
  • In this event, the participant will have to pick a chit from a bowl. Then, the participant will have to give their opinion on both the possible pros and the cons of the topic they picked. Language is Gujarati.

  • RULES:

  • 1. The participant will be provided with 120 seconds to prepare.
  • 2. The participant will be provided with 180 seconds to express their opinions.

  • JUDGING CRITERIA:

  • 1. The validity of Points.
  • 2. Fluency in Speaking.
  • 3. Tone
  • 4. Pace
  • 5. Content spoken

  • In this competition, one participant is allowed with one DSLR CAMERA or PHONE. The time limit is the whole day and to submit 1 photograph.

  • RULES:

  • 1. Only color photograph.

  • 2. No copied work.
  • 3. Anything could be captured.

  • This is a singing competition. In which Gujarati sugam sangit and Gujarati folk songs are allowed. One instrument is allowed with that singer.

  • RULES:-

  • 1. The participants will be given 3- 5 minutes.
  • 2. Only Gujarati sugam sangit and Gujarati folk songs are allowed.
  • 3. Only one instrument and only one singer is there.

  • JUDGING CRITERIA:

  • 1. Maintenance of mood.
  • 2. The quality of singing.

QUIZ
  • All the questions in the quiz will be based on Gujarati Culture, Gujarati Literature and History of Gujarat. There will be two rounds of the quiz. Students can participate in the group of two.

  • ROUND 1

  • Round 1 will be the elimination round containing a MCQ test of 30 minutes.
  • The top 10 teams will be selected for the final round.

TEACHER’S CORNER
  • Teacher’s corner is the competition dedicated to the writer souls who are in non-esthetic teaching field!
  • This competition is the stage to bring out the emotions and thoughts of a professor.

  • RULES:

  • 1. This competition is only about Poems.
  • 2. Content should be creative and non-copied.
  • 3. The time limit to recite the poems is 5-7 minutes.

  • JUDGING CRITERIA:

  • 1. Creativity

  • 2. Clarity of thought
  • 3. Grammar precision

MONO ACT
  • There can be one person to assist/operate the music if required. The language of the act can be Gujarati or Hindi. Standing table mic, one chair, one table, and a laptop for operating music will be provided if needed. No lapel mics or hand mics will be allowed.

  • Participants can bring the music in pen-drive but no recorded vocals are allowed. All clothes and accessories are to be arranged by participants.

  • RULES:

  • 1. The total time allotted will be 3-6 minutes.

  • This competition has two rounds.

  • The participants will be reciting their own poems.

  • The participants will be given theme and they will have to create poetry on the same.

SHORT FILM
  • In this event participants has to direct and shoot short film in the given time according to the themes and elements given as per rules. All the participants needs to submit their short films before deadline.

  • Rules:

  • 1. Team should consist of 3 to 5 team members.
  • 2. Duration of short film 30 to 60 seconds.
  • 3. Use non copyright or royalty music.
  • 4. Title credit should consist of film name within 5 seconds and end credits should be 5 seconds.
  • 5. Explicit language and nudity are not allowed.
  • 6. Copied clips are not allowed if found then it will be discarded.
  • 7. We will provide theme and element on 31st of January and competition will start from 1st February to 5th February (6:00 PM).
